daisuke miyatani lives on the small island awaji island in japan. he usually works in a bookshop - maybe that is where he finds the rest and silence to create his fragile compositions. or maybe it is his japanese cultural background that leads to the beautiful miniatures. there are some parallels to yuichiro fujimoto - daisuke uses a similar simplistic approach. but daisuke contrasts his guitar-based songs with more ambient-like, electronically composed material. these two elements compliment each other very well. it is a perfect blend between concrete sounds and drone-like passages. but all the electronic elements still have a analog character, fitting with the acoustic instruments.
